(April 21, 2022) Joseph Maldonado-Passage, also known as Joe Exotic from the Netflix series Tiger King, filed for divorce in Santa Rosa County in late March (2022 DR 525) from his current husband of 4 years, Dillon Passage. While Mr. Passage states on social media that he wants the divorce from Mr. Maldonado-Passage, he refused to provide an address where he could be served. On April 18, 2022 at 12:18 pm, Mr. Passage was located and served in Citrus Springs, Florida. When the petition was filed, it was hoped that an amicable resolution of the proceedings would be obtained, however, the case is much more complex than expected due to the actions of Mr. Passage since Joe Exotic was arrested. “Mr. Passage has avoided this divorce because he is self-serving and wants to ride the Joe Exotic coattails for as long as possible for his own gain. Mr. Passage has even stooped so low as to sell some of Joe’s clothing and personal items without his permission. These are issues that can and will be addressed in this divorce.” Autumn B. He will not sign an agreement with unreasonable terms. Joe wants to move on with his life and finalize the divorce as quickly as possible, but he must protect himself from further exploitation at the hands of Mr. Passage.” Mr. Passage will now have 20 days from the date of service to file an Answer to Joe Exotic’s Petition for Dissolution.
